A warm pressed sandwich with sausage, pickles, Swiss, and mustard.
Serves 2 sandwiches
Ingredients
4 large slices of Italian bread
12 oz Applewood Smoked Summer Sausage, sliced lengthwise
6 oz Alpine Baby Swiss, sliced thin
Farmers Market Whole Grain Mustard
¼cup dill Pickles, roughly chopped
Romaine lettuce
2 plum tomatoes, sliced
Butter or olive oil
Instructions
Heat the sausage in a skillet over medium heat just until warmed. Wipe out the skillet for later use.
Assemble sandwiches. Spread half of the mustard on two slices of bread. Layer the sausages, cheese, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes on top. Top with bread.
Spread butter or oil on the outside bread slices.Heat in the cleaned skillet over medium temperature until the bread is toasted on both sides. Slice sandwiches in half and enjoy!
